Launched at 630 AM at Rivera marina to a high outgoing tide. I quickly made my way south to some of the keys and I was able to land 4 lower slot redfish and a small snook, and missed many others. All the fish hit on top waters. On the way back in I fished the edge of the bar and I was able to get a cobia at 34".

Thanks for the post, I PM you couple of weeks about Allagator creek and no reply,I think your right about the message service had a problem. Did that Cobia put up a fight, what lb test was your line and leader? I had to cancel my trip to Fort Myers Beach because of eye sergery. what lure did you catch the red fish on. Take care———— Frank Faust

Yes cobia are very strong. It was about a 20 minute fight on 12 lb braid and 25 lb leader. They tend to make one very long run and then stay about 6ft out of reach for seemingly forever which is why most people gaff them.
