New Year Day 2018 and I caught two bass here in NW Cape Coral just before sunset. But, the weather was unpleasant, thick mist bordering on light rain and cold north wind.. I will keep at it as I want to see if I can sense a pre-spawn going into the bass spawn in February or so.

HAppy New Year, I'm up in the great not so white North, watching the granddaughter while my Son and daughter-in-law went to the Peach Bowl, can't wait to head back home today.. its freaking cold here in the 30's last nite with a swift wind.

Krash - we are in for a cold week here in South florida but still much better then peach country. The big problem will be finding refuge from the 20mph + north winds..

The snook should be way up into the backwaters by the weekend here in Cape Coral and Pine Island after 3 nights below 40 deg
