I know of a few places in Lee County where juvenile tarpon are in freshwater or brackage water locally.

Naples area may be even better but I have just not taken the time.

They will strike when feeding. Overcast days are best.

Just match the size of the bait fish they are feeding on.

Tarpon fishing on the fly has become an obsession for me. I fish mostly in the Bonita and Estero area but would love to expand my fishing territory up and down the coast. I generally fish out of a small kayak but would like to find some land based locations.

I'll be returning to SW florida after the holidays. I'll fish for the juvi's all winter long. Lets keep the thread open. Maybe do a land-based trip to Choco, Goodland, EC this winter?
