Thought I'd wade fish this pm on the rising tide; high expected aout 5:00 pm. Fished from 2:30 or so to 4:30. Had one strike in the two hours. The water was clear and comfortable. Grass looked pretty good; however, very little other signs of sea life and no fish. I did see a fellow wader, using live shrimp, catch a couple of smallish trout and a cat.

Glad you got out. It won't be long before that path will be too wet.

I have always wanted to try that area for wading.

Google maps shows Wade Fishing Entry areas #1 thru #4.

Any suggestions?

I do not recall the gate number, however, I go west on NW 40th Terrace off Old Burnt Store Road. You will see a small paved parking lot at the head of the trail. It is a good half mile hike to the water and is not real conducive to pulling a yak. Did it once last year. Once the rainy season begins, the trail gets pretty muddy in places. Make sure you have water shoes that will stay on your feet; it is a soft bottom.

I have been out there several times when for one reason or another I didn't want to wet the yak. I usually find some trout and last Fall, I got a 27" red.
