I'm looking into getting a set of roof racks for my '14 Toyota Corolla. I'm currently using foam and tie downs that I bought at Dicks Sporting Goods. Any suggestions for a good value of roof racks for a smaller sedan. My budget is $1-2 hundred and I'm looking for something that I can install myself. I have a kayak holder that's on my gf's suv, so I'm just looking for something good and sturdy so I can easily get out on the water without damaging my car or my kayak.

You can find some cheaper ones that are rated ok on Amazon or Ebay.

If you will accept used, try CraigsList, they pop up all the time. I used soft surfbaord racks for years and have now upgraded to the Thule aero-blade style bars.

Where are you located ?

I have both a Thule Square bar with load bar option, and Yakima round bar.. both have been used on my Honda Civics and work well. All you would have to do is find the correct feet and clips to match them to your car, I believe around 40 bucks on the web site of either manufacturer and maybe a little cheaper online. Both sets are in pretty good condition.

I'd sell either set for say $100.00 if you come pick them up in Ft. Lauderdale.

I use the malone universal ones I bought at Bass Pro. Put them on and off as I please on my Honda Element.

I use Sport Rack adjustable pads 24 inches with metal bar inserts, and two Seattle Sherpack suction cup rollers on my 2006 Toyota Corrola, one roller on the back of my trunk and the other on top of my rear wind shield, works great for me, a little over $100 for the works. I have a 2016 Hobie Outback. Take care-----------Frank
