Nice snook and trout. I didn't feel like donating $20 for this tournament but look forward to seeing what you guys are able to wrangle up out there.

My fiancee is out of town for the weekend, so I have the weekend to fish. Every night this week I have been seeing tarpon roll outside my place while I am walking the pups. So after getting my fill of college football, I decided to soak some ladyfish chunks for a couple hours. I fished from 8 to 10 and got absolutely no love from the poons despite seeing some monster roll a few feet away from the dock. I did add a sail cat and a hardhead cat to my super species tally, and I got a 29 inch snook.

Went to PICM today. $10.00 to park but a nice launch to some very good looking water. Paddled south across a shallow flat loaded with mullet, but the wind was blowing straight in my face so headed to a small island. Pinned up and on my first cast, this nice 26 inch snook inhaled my paddler-z.

Image

Paddled over to a protected shoreline and hooked this red who thought he was twice as big as he was. Very fun!

Image

Headed toward a creek mouth but when I got there, 3 kayak fisherman and a gheenoe were working the area. Decided to drift across the flat and picked this trout on a spook fished over a pothole. Completed my slam, which felt good.

Image

Headed back to the launch, hoping for some trash fish but none would bite.
