Saw this story recently and hopefully this means we'll have public access to the Two Pines area again. Then again it's Cape Coral and they'll probably screw it up.

Yeah, I won't hold my breath. There is so much they can do for access in that area, it's crazy. Buy a couple of the lots, and put them in the park system.

For all the talk that Cape Coral is a mecca for kayakers, I know of only one saltwater launch in the city.

They'll probably put it like 5 miles from the entrance to the mangrove tunnel so it will be a ramp to nowhere lol.

The city owns the two lots on the north side of NW 23rd terrace where they had that ramp set up. It looks like they have set aside $25,000 for an access point. Hopefully they will do it on those lots.

Anywhere close to the mangrove tunnel should be set aside for preserving (either by city or county ) for a park and kayaking. There isn’t a spot even close to the atmosphere in this area that is public unless you travel to the Everglades park. And land prices keep going up.lots on salt water are $100,000 and up.
