Not sure if you.can see the attached pic. Cape Coral Parks will be opening up a new kayak launch (scheduled for later this year) at the top of the city. They are aware of the need since closing Kismet and are doing it right this time.

Yes, please keep us posted. I haven't heard anything about this new launch, but it would sure be welcome in that area.

So are they building something that we can launch to Charlotte Harbor? If they're putting something by the wade fishing spot you either have to drag your kayak to the harbor or you would have to paddle 2 miles to just get to the entrance of the Kismet tunnel.

There's no mention of a kayak ramp. It would be closer than paddling from Matlacha, but I'll pass.
