Shoved off at 0545, and got to the key at first light. Cast to mullet boil resulted in a big red that pulled like crazy, finally after four min. got him within a couple yards of the boat , and line broke.
Easily could have been my PB so far, felt like a bag of quickcrete. Retied and hooked a mid size snook near the bushes, pulled me in before I could anchor or stake out. Result: Line broke. 2 fish, two lost spook jrs. , nothing to show for it. In by 0930 due to a lower back issue. Had a video of the red fight, but lost it in editing.. (new video camera, and still learning the settings . )

Sounds like an action packed morning, better than mine! Went to the commercial marina this am for a change in scenery and got three snooklet to show for it. Water clarity not very good very little water movement. I think I'll stick to Pineland or Matlacha for a while.
