Went out to Pineland at 6:00 am but found it too windy; back to Matlacha north. Out on water by 6:30. Should have been great water movement with high tide expected about 11:00. Water still clear but more tannic than a week to two before. Managed three 12/13" snooklet along the mangroves early on but overall, very little action. The change in tide did not improve the catching although I did see a couple of snook and a red cruising the edges of the mangroves. Without much action, the heat became very oppressive. My fishing buddy called it quits about 10:30 and I hung out til about 12:00 and decided to head in. Off the water by 1:00 pm.

I've been over on the East Coast this week, have to get back into the fishing pattern.

Did you get any fishing in while over there? Up until the heavy rains of two weeks ago, the reds were really cooperative out of Pineland. I'm hoping to get out once or twice this week.

Nice report. I'm jealous you get to go out to pineland so often!

No fishing, just training for Home Depot. Hopefully I'll get back in the next few weeks.

Will you be based out of SWF or the make the move back to the east coast? I have enjoyed the couple of times I have run into you on the water over in the Pineland area.

I'll be staying here, and fishing when I can, no more east coast for me.
