Quick update.
Went out at 8:30 from matlacha park. Worst tides for fishing flats but buddy needed to test new kayak.
We fished flats south of park on east side for couple of hours. I caught 5 trout (2 nice ones), 2 jacks, 2 sails and 1 cat.
Using gulp shrimp. (new penny) under popping cork.
Water seemed fine as well. Didn't see any other life, no manatee or dolphins like we normally would see. But there was fish action.

Gulp on a cork is a good choice. Nice mix of fish. What kind of kayak did your buddy get?
