I launched at Cocahatchee River Park around 7:30 AM. I bought some shrimp to try since catching fish has been kind of slow for me lately. I thought I'd try something different. I floated west from the launch and caught a catfish on my 3rd cast. (That's why I don't like shrimp). About 20 minutes later after feeding some sheepshead, I managed to catch a small one. I switch over to Gulp shrimp and caught a jack and an under slot red. Things shut down for a while and clouds were moving in so as I headed back I saw some commotion near an island point just off the channel. I threw live shrimp and picked up 2 lower slot reds and 2 jacks. As I got closer to the launch a big wide head catfish decided to eat my shrimp. Yuk, ugly slim. I few casts later I caught another lower slot redfish.

All in all it was a fun day on the water. Pretty quiet also, only a few boats and I only saw one other kayaker. I love those quiet days.
