Yes, I stop by pretty much every day, just ain;t been fishing in quite some time.

Had a medical setback in January, plus a couple other personal issues including my fishing buddy being in the hospital since last Dec. fighting a cancer battle, and recent car issue.. that's my excuse's.... but the computer works.

My SUP is laying upside down on top of the pile in the garage covered with dust, the canoe and kayak are out back on the rack with their covers on, all looking kind of neglected.

I did purchase a Fly tying vise, some tools, and materials to start a new hobby tying flies.. have a fly rod that is also gathering dust in the garage that I need/want to learn to use so as to do some ditch fishing along the banks targeting Peacock Bass, Tarpon, and Snook's.

krash, tie up some gurgler flys in your spare time. I caught around 15 nice snook, sight fishing off the beach on the north end of PI this spring on a white gurgler tied by my neighbor. One was 30 inches!

Krash,
sorry to hear of your misfortunes. Hopefully, things will turn around soon. I'm also trying to learn how to cast a fly rod better.

BokeeliaDon,
Do you live on Bokeelia? I'm about 10 minutes from Matlacha.

I do live in Bokeelia, 8 months of the year. Will be back in September to see if the snook are still coming into the beach off the Bokeelia pier.

I plan on going out of Pineland tomorrow around 6:30 am, over toward Black Key, if you'd like to join me and don't mind going out with an old guy. I drive a little white Ford Ranger.

(Don: I sent you a pm the other day).

I was in PI Sound about a week ago, out of Pineland and was not happy with water quality, or action. Later in the week, I was in Matlacha Pass near the power lines and water was abysmal, bottom devoid of life. As a fisher, I am an eternal optimist and will keep hoping for improvement! I just enjoy being out on the water, observing nature. On both occasions, I did manage a couple of small reds and snook but nothing to brag about.
