Went out this AM with some trepidation due to all the showers showing on Doppler radar. Decided to chance it hoping to get most of the morning in. There was not much in the way of lightning when I launched at 6:00; however, by 8:00 it became somewhat intimidating. It's not fun when you have to constantly look over your shoulder to see how fast the storm is approaching or if it is coming your way. By 9:00 I gave in. I did get three reds, one a runt, two small snook and a lady fish. I did hook a nice size tarpon that broke my leader on the third or fourth jump. I would have liked to stay out longer but I thought better to live another day. Everything today was caught on soft plastics on a jig head.
